If it doesn't live up to your expectations, change your expectations. I personally found it beautiful, weird, and funny. An openly queer narrator and familiar-yet strange and unknowable-characters leap up from the shadows of the Dog Park. Which does not exist. Stop thinking about the Dog Park.
