DiMeo

Nate DiMeo's "The Memory Palace" is so brilliantly refreshing. Stripped of many of the storytelling techniques that have made other shows giants in the radio arena (i.e., This American Life, Radiolab, etc.), DiMeo tells simple stories with a subtle, unassuming mastery and frank honesty that makes each historical golden nugget delightfully refreshing. Some, such as "Dig Set Spike" and "Secret Kitty," are both intriguing and wryly hilarious and others, such as "Plummeting Approval" and "Mary, Mary and Mercy" are touching and evocative. Alone with DiMeo's voice, The Memory Palace is like sit down with a great raconteur you could listen to all day.
